Maison Métisse was born from an ongoing exploration of textiles and making — from the possibilities held within fibre, colour, structure and form.
The Maison works across weaving, dyeing, knotting, embroidery and construction, developing new relationships between material, technique and form.
Its point of view is shaped by the designer’s French-Filipino background and her study of weaving under a Japanese master.
Tradition is not treated as a fixed language.
It is studied, questioned and brought forward.
