WHERE ARE YOUR CLASSES HELD?

Classes are held at our Boutique Pop-Up in R2, Power Plant Mall, Makati , next to Aranaz.

HOW DO I BOOK A CLASS?

All of our classes can be booked and scheduled online from this website. Click here to go to the booking page.

HOW DO I RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL A CLASS?

To reschedule a class, please call or send us an email immediately. You may cancel in accordance with our Studio Policies.

CAN I BUY A CLASS FOR SOMEONE ELSE?

Yes! You can buy a gift card, the perfect birthday or holiday present! Our gift cards come in two different forms - by a weaving class and by the amount for our online store.

what should i bring to my class?

We recommend you bring socks, water and a bag to take your work home.

DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK DURING MY SESSION ?

Yes, we require you wear a mask during the session for the safety of everyone in the studio.

What can I expect when I arrive for my first weaving class?

No need to worry if you have never woven before! We will be here to help you every step of the way. We will show you the basics and give you time to get familiar with the loom. After, we will inspire you to experiment and try new techniques according your pace!

The philosophy of SAORI weaving is not to ‘teach' someone how to weave, but instead to simply lead them to discover their own style and methods. You have the freedom to take whichever direction you feel inspired to go to. With the Zen Weaving, you will feel relaxed and meditative in just 2 hours. By the end of the session, you will have made a mini woven tapestry that is very unique to you

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I AM LATE ?

If you are only running a few minutes late don’t worry, we can start whenever you arrive. If you are considerably late, please call to let us know ASAP. Please be mindful that if you are late we cannot make up that time at the end of class, as we only have a few minutes between classes.

CAN I EAT DURING THE SESSION ?

In our small atelier, the smell of food interferes with other weavers' concentration, so we prefer to keep them food and drink free. Snacks and drinks are allowed in the provided areas. However, be sure to clean your hands before returning to weave.

DO YOU HAVE DRINKING WATER?

We recommend that you bring your own bottled water since we don't have a water fountain nor a water cooler. Please rehydrate by the counter, away from the weaving area.

CAN I TAKE BREAKS?

Of course! Please feel free to take a break at any point to get coffee/snack/drink water, or even just to walk around. We definitely recommend taking breaks and breathing fresh air.

CAN I SHARE MY LOOM WITH SOMEONE?

Only one person is allowed to weave per loom so that each person can experience their own creative journey. The woven piece expressed yourself and cannot share it with anyone else.

DO I KEEP THE WORK I MADE?

Absolutely! Your work of art is yours to keep and take home. Unlike a pottery class where you may need to wait to collect your piece - your weaving will be ready to take home at the end of class

Should I wash my weaving?

If it is a tapestry piece, you don’t need to wash it. If it is a scarf or another wearable please simply soak in water and mild preferable natural/organic soap and lay / hang to dry.

As we are advocates of sustainability, we strongly encourage you to bring your own bag to class to bring your tapestry home.

CAN I USE YOUR WIFI ?

We do not provide any WIFI . We recommend that you go offline and unplug to enjoy your time! Please refrain from talking on the phone during your session.

CAN I TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS?

Sure! You are encouraged to take pictures during your experience as long as you follow the rules and manner below.

The pictures will be a good memory of you and your guests. But please don't disturb other students. First, check with your fellow students and staff before taking a picture, in case they will be in the background of your pictures. And it should be your personal record with your responsibility including your social media.

Recording our instructions on video is prohibited because SAORI headquarters prohibits the use of instructional videos online.

However, we would appreciate it if you tag us in your social media posts @maison.metisse #maisonmetisse
